The ‘deal’ is pretty simple: you get to rent out my master bedroom which has lots of space and a California king-sized bed (no problem for 2 people whatsoever; 3 would be a bit weird).

You also get to play as much tennis as you like for free. The court is very busy – so you get to pick the slots that are available at that time.

***

You have the run of the house: kitchen, living room, garden and swimming pool. The only thing I ask is that you respect the house and remember that you’re guests – e.g., no parties, etc.

There are 3 staff in the house that sleep downstairs. Their job is to keep the house clean, help you in any way they can, errands, etc., (except cooking – you’re on your own).

Also, they maintain the court (pretty much a full time job). They stay out of your way – and they keep silent at night – meaning the house is kept quiet – and the house is located in a natural setting – and it feels natural and homey.

***

Though the house is in what would be called a rural setting (meaning not in the dreary hodge-podge of tourist stuff), the area is considered one of the prime locations in Bali – only 10 minutes away from all the restaurants, shops and other places you might want to go.

***

The monthly rental fee is Rp. 7,000,000 per month (slightly less than $800.00 at the current exchange rate). The money is payable in rupiah or dollars. But the room must be paid for in advance for however long you intend to stay.

If you’re outside Indonesia and want some more info, just drop me an e-mail.

On the other hand, if you’re in Bali and want to see the house, I will arrange for a friend to talk with you and show it to you, no problem.

Ok? Next?

Cheers,

Steve

P.S. Please note: I took all these photos quite a while ago, so there have been some changes in the house. For example, the garden is much more lush than before; the big sofa downstairs is now covered in red material; there’s no fridge in the master bedroom (I took it with me to Java).

But, overall it’s a great house. I just started renting the bedroom out a few months ago. The very first guests that stayed in the bedroom (a couple who stayed 5 months) have told me to feel free to use them as references – they were delighted with the house and all that goes with it.
